Sturbridge
Village Collection
In
1987, Old Sturbridge Village, in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, selected
Russell Swinton Oatman, R. A. to design the first museum authorized,
period house reproductions in the United States. The houses are
all of New England origin and date from 1704 to 1797. The collection
includes a 1704, two story one file (one room deep) house; a salt-box;
two cape style designs and a large, transitional formal Georgian-Federal
house. Our Sturbridge Village collection offers some of the finest
examples of period architecture available.
